Safer City Partnership

The Safer City Partnership plays a key role in reducing crime and other harms that affect those who live, work and visit the City of London.

The Partnership has a track record of successes over the years in achieving its goals. It provides a strategic and collaborative platform for different agencies to come together and help make the City a safer and pleasant place.

Together with other organisations, it is responsible for bringing delivering high quality community safety interventions for the benefit of the City of London and neighbouring communities.

Its local experience and approach is endorsed by the Home Office's Modern Crime Prevention strategy which highlights the potential partnerships have to prevent and reduce crime.

Its ambition is to build upon the existing and strong foundations, and oversee further improvements in preventing and responding to crime and anti-social behaviour.

The City of London continues to be a safe and pleasant place to live, work and visit, with low levels of crime compared to other areas. However, its unique geographical area, and authority, presents itself with complex problems that are unique to this area. Issues range from having a distinctive anti-social behaviour challenge to supervising a safer, vibrant and modern night time economy. With this in mind, the Partnership allows agencies to tackle these themes in a joint and cooperative multi-agency programme.

How you can help

You can help us to keep the City a safer place to live and work by providing feedback through consultation, public meetings, phone calls and emails. The Community Safety Team will be consulting residents and businesses in the City with online questionnaires and at residents meetings so that we can develop an awareness of community needs and feelings around crime and safety.

Further details will be posted on our website but if you have any suggestions, comments or questions about our services we would love to hear from you.
